Facial Reconstruction Photos - Case #2757

This patient was one year old when she was noted to have an atypical lesion on her nose. The biopsy showed that it was a malignant lesion that was growing rapidly. Complete removal of all nasal skin was required for adequate treatment. Initially, a skin graft was placed on the nose to allow her to grow and get to the age where she could properly take care of a more sophisticated reconstruction. At 3 years of age, a two-stage forehead flap was performed to resurface all the skin on her nose. She continues to do well to this day.
