Case #3214 - Asymmetry and Facial Reshaping

This is a patient who travelled from Nigeria with a diagnosis of congenital facial asymmetry. Ideally this would be treated by moving the upper jaw, the lower jaw, and the chin into a new position as well as performing fat grafting. Because the patient only had four weeks in the United States, a decision was […]

Case #3215 - Asymmetry and Facial Reshaping

This patient presented for facial feminization. In order to achieve her goals, her chin was narrowed and the jaw was recontoured to soften the masculine appearance of the mandibular angle. Additionally, fat grafting was performed in the face to add more soft tissue volume.

Case #3216 - Asymmetry and Facial Reshaping

This patient was born with a condition called hemifacial microsomia where the right side of her face is smaller than the left side of her face. She has had multiple procedures since she was a young girl including elongation of the right jaw and ear reconstruction. Additionally she has had fat grafting and surgery of […]

Case #3217 - Asymmetry and Facial Reshaping

This patient had significant facial asymmetry as a result of previous jaw surgery performed at an outside hospital. She did not want to undergo another jaw operation, but she did agree to a chin surgery to help minimize her facial asymmetry.

Case #3218 - Asymmetry and Facial Reshaping

This young woman sustained a childhood injury causing a lack of growth of the lower jaw. This resulted in significant facial asymmetry. This case was done pro bono by Dr. Baker for Operation Smile. The patient underwent upper jaw, lower jaw, and chin surgery. Fat grafting was also incorporated to optimize the soft tissue result.

Case #3219 - Asymmetry and Facial Reshaping

This patient presented with facial asymmetry; however, her occlusion did not justify repositioning the jaws. Therefore, a decision was made to use an artificial implant with fat grafting in the soft tissue. This composite bilayer reconstruction not only establishes a normal form but gives a normal texture to the jaw as well. Dr. Baker has […]

Case #3220 - Asymmetry and Facial Reshaping

This patient presented with a concern over her facial asymmetry. She had jaw recontouring, fat grafting, and a chin surgery to improve her facial asymmetry.
