This patient presented with the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea. In order to treat this disorder, his upper and lower jaws were both moved forward 10 mm. Additionally, his chin was moved forward. This case represents an example of skeletal expansion supporting the soft tissues. The patient is left with a more youthful appearance even though the original indication for the surgery was sleep apnea.
