This patient had a cleft lip and palate repair in India. He presented as an adult looking for reconstructive options. His nose was reconstructed using cartilage from his rib. And his upper lip, which was short and retracted, was reconstructed from a piece of his lower lip. This is a two-stage procedure where the lower lip is rotated into the upper lip to replace the scar in the upper lip, which has been excised and discarded. Postoperatively he can be seen with normal nasal projection as well as a normal upper lip contour. Also the donor scar from the lower lip is almost invisible.
